A person goes to see a famous piano player in concert. After the show they have an opportunity to meet with the performer. The person says to the pianist “ I would give half my life to play as well as you do.” The pianist responds “I did.”
As you progress thru high school and college you will read many stories of sacrifice for the attainment of a goal. The Astronauts who gave their life exploring space, Madam Curie who lost her life for her research into radiation. You hear every day about people who dedicate their life to learning skills, perfecting an art, or promoting a cause.
The fact is to master anything and to achieve a goal, requires that sacrifices are made some small some big. There is no easy way to gain something of value.
